About this Event

For seven years WAYF has been the South Coast's biggest multi-genre club night, building a reputation for legendary crowds & atmosphere that has propelled it to become one of the UK's leading club brands. This new breed of club night is all about future thinking electronic music, big room moments, an eclectic music policy and putting the fun back into clubbing. Since 2007 WAYF has welcomed thousands of party people to it's monthly sell-out residency at the Old Fire Station in Bournemouth and events around the country. Twice a year it's metropolitan dance music festival The Block Party sees 2,500 party people rave all night across seven venues with a line-up over 50 acts. WAYF events are as much about the visual experience and crowd energy as they are about pushing the scene forward and welcoming some of the biggest names in dance music.



HISTORY:



From the humble ambition of three art school students wanting to throw a decent party, WAYF exploded onto the scene in 2007 as a one-off event. With queues round the block, a crowd hungry for something new and an unbelievable vibe WAYF quickly went monthly at it's 1,200 capacity Old Fire Station home and has never looked back. Constantly evolving it's line-ups and music policy the monthly WAYF nights have welcomed some of the biggest names from across genres to it's stage before they hit mainstream success. In 2009 WAYF launched The Block Party, bringing together seven Bournemouth venues, 2,500 wristband holders and over 50 artists for the UK's only dance music led metropolitan festival. In 2010 the club's reputation saw the world's top clubbing magazine Mixmag name WAYF as a “Top 10 Club Night of the Year”. From its success on the South Coast the team has staged off-shoot nights in Oxford, Dublin, Kent, Nottingham and London and hosted parties at the like of Fabric, Koko, Bestival, Ibiza Rocks, Beach Break Live and Oxygen Festival.
