LOTTE MULLAN
The British music press raved about Lotte Mullan’s self released debut album, christening her Indie-Country sound ‘Anglicana’. Dubbed as the female Bob Dylan Lotte has buillt a dedicated following with her intimate story telling songs; she spent two years on the road touring solo before packing her bags and heading to Nashville to make an album with country rockers Band Of Horses. The first single ‘I Hope It Breaks Your Heart’ immediately trended on Folk Radio’s Soundcloud, hitting over 60k streams and was played on BBC Radio 2 and 6 music.
Fiercely DIY, Mullan turned down a major label deal with Warners and runs her own label Raindog Records. A blog she was writing about her misadventures in the music business was snapped up for a book and film deal by Elton John’s Rocket Pictures and Ridley Scott Productions used four of Lotte’s songs to soundtrack their latest short film ‘Kismet Diner’ which has had over 3 million hits on Youtube and won first prize at Manhattan Short film festival.
