Some background on those involved in A Curious Feast...

Jesper Launder - Jesper Launder has over 30 years experience identifying, eating and using a large array of the plants, fungi and seaweeds that can be found within the British Isles. He teaches many courses including the sound identification and harvest of edible wild foods. In his work as a medical herbalist he is licenced to produce medicinal extracts from foraged plants and fungi.

The Apothecary – The Apothecary is a truly unique, vintage-themed, mobile drinking experience for events. Both the bar itself and the concept of the service and products have been styled around a Victorian apothecary, from staff uniforms, props and decor to the actual ingredients, spirits and cocktails we serve. We pride ourselves on the use of locally sourced, organic produce wherever possible and create our own special blends and infusions using these and also wild-foraged ingredients.

Forage - We take great seasonal ingredients, from local producers, and turn them into gorgeous, tasty food with real heart. We eat with the seasons, using whatever is good to eat now. We preserve, pickle and jam wherever possible, and love to explore our local area to see what nature has to offer. Our café is open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and homemade cakes. Our shop stocks artisan produce from across the county. Our bistro showcases the best of Yorkshire and the season, offering excellent food with friendly service in an intimate and beautiful space.
