Poetry on The Spot



Every second Tuesday of the month, The Cellar Bar presents POETRY ON THE SPOT, hosted by broadcastor, Paul Canon Harris & author, Bob Hill, featuring a poetry open-mic, invited poets improvising, audience involvement, a crowd sourced poem, plus *awesome prizes.

Experience the expertise of rival teams of invited poets creating on the spot poems, surprise stanzas and made up metonyms all for the glory of winning the coveted POETRY ON THE SPOT trophy.

Help create a crowd sourced poem that will be read out at the end of the night.

Poetry open-mic sign up from 7pm on a first come, first served basis. Poets have a maximum 5 minutes each on the mic.
