This Tuesday's featured artists in Chaplins, Boscombe, are Bmth folk collective, CAROLAN'S SHRUTi BOX. This will be the first time that the full 6-piece line-up has played in public, with lead vocalist & shruti box player, Carolan Burke, singer/perc, Valerie French, guitar/bouzouki, Dave McKenzie (Jimmy Hillbillies), keyboards Conrad Barr (Solid Air), djembé/didge, Paul Reeves & perc/temple bells, Maria Osmundsen (both Tony Two Dogs & The Dreamcatchers), for an intriguing contemporary twist on traditional folk song, embracing celtic flavours, pagan mysticism & ethnodelic grooves.
