About this Event

We're bringing you a very special opening party for the Arts University Bournemouth Freshers.



As always we will be throwing a late night gig with some of the best indie bands on the south coast, accompanied by eclectic DJ sets of Indie anthems, Soul, Funk, Motown, Psych, Rock and Roll, Ska, Punk and much more.



- The Black Tambourines -

Urgent, exciting surf-punk under a rugged DIY ethos. These guys are the best thing to come out of Falmouth in forever, and probably one the best live bands you will see this year.

- Poor Michael -

A psych-rock trio with a difference. Whilst many modern psychedelic rock bands are carefully following the instruction manual for 60s psychedelia, Poor Michael have skimmed through it, and decided to switch things up. Generating a raw and energetic take on the psych movement, combining eastern-influenced riffs and slamming grooves.

A swirling haze of chilled-out beats, dual vocals and less-is-more guitars. There are nods of Tame Impala and the psych-pop sounds that have come out of the Heavenly Records stable in recent years.
