Horseman & The Uppercut Band

Horseman needs no introduction! His hard-hitting beats have backed the best Reggae artists in the business; Max Romeo, Little Roy and many more.



Famous for his precision timing and fearsome delivery he is just as comfortable on the mic as behind the kit. The Horse can be seen roaming across Europe appearing at clubs and festivals MCing with the Prince Fatty Soundsystem & Hollie Cook.



Having worked alongside producers and engineers such as Jah Shaka and Mad Professor, he has guaranteed his status both in the studio and on stage



The Upper Cut Band have been delivering their inimitable style of UK Roots Reggae since the summer of 2008 and have spent the past 2 years rocking festivals and clubs throughout Europe and the UK, sharing the stage with artists such as Alborosie and the Shengen Clan, The Skatalites, Earl 16, Macka B and Fantan Mojah.

With a unique combination of talented musicians they produce a rootsy stew of bright and breezy horns, wailing guitars, melodic keys and a dark and heavy drum and bass, giving a soundscape reminiscent of times gone by but wholly relevant to the here and now.

DJ Ryu is the founder of Rockit Science and has played alongside Massive Attacks' Daddy G, Portishead's Andy Smith, Bill Brewster, A-Skillz, The Nextmen, Normski, Cut La Roc, Psychemagik, Midfield General, Deadly Avenger, Leo Zero, Mighty Mouse, FC Kahuna, Leftside Wobble, Cosmonauts, Punks Jump Up, The C90s, Mojo Filter and Dean Sunshine Smith. DJing for 10+ years and plays everything from funk, soul, boogie & balearic to disco, house, electro & techno with a healthy dose of remixes, re-edits & secret weapons to keep every dancefloor going all night long.
