Gnawa Blues All Stars // Friday 31st March

Born in Africa’s Mahgreb desert, the compelling dance rhythms of Gnawa music have been driving traditional trance-dance rituals for centuries. Dakhla Brass // Saturday 1st April

Dakhla Brass have embarked on a magic exploration of the richness of brass music as celebrated around the world. Propelled by restless percussion, theirs is ‘not exactly’ music – not exactly jazz, not exactly hip-hop, not exactly brass band or Arabian or second-line Mardi Gras … Yet it draws on all of that and more, pumping with the excited surge of a carnival crowd while catching the careful craft of a colliery band and the artful freedom of New Orleans jazz. It taps your toes, swivels your hips and strokes your chin all at the same time.

The Affirmations // Sunday 2nd April

After the success of debut album “A Hill of Feathers”, the band was catapulted all around Europe, capturing the hearts of all they met. Along the way they supported and drew praise from Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Cat Power, Charles Bradley, Giles Peterson and Craig Charles. Not to mention garnering over a million views on YouTube for their song "Work It Out'.

Throughout the last two years they have appeared at such prestigious places as Cartagena Jazz festival, Mostly Jazz Festival, Kafe Antzokia and Circolo Magnolia.

On top of this they have sold out 3 shows at the legendary Pizza Express Jazz Club in London (One in January 2015 and two in January 2016). As well as selling out various Craig Charles Funk & Soul nights around the UK.
