Join us for a fun and informative malt whisky masterclass at The Woods, Bristol!



Your tasting will be hosted by distiller, independent bottler and former Caol Ila Distillery Manager, David Wood. During the evening David will explain how the whisky industry has evolved in the last 200 years, and tell you exactly how Scotland's gift to the world makes it's journey from barley in the field to the bottle of single malt on your table. During the evening you will taste a range of classic drams from around Scotland and have the opportunity to get answers to all your whisky related questions.



A number of years ago David and his family packed up their belongings and moved to the Hebrides to work in the iconic distilleries of the Isle of Islay. David's wife Leonie was Visitor Centre Manager at Kilchoman, the wee farm distillery, whilst David worked at Lagavulin Distillery, and then Caol Ila Distillery. He'll tell you what it is like to manage a distillery and to produce 6.5 million litres of new make spirit every year!



This event is suitable for those who are newcomers to the amazing world of whisky or for those who are already enthusiasts.
