Laetitia Sadier in Bournemouth
About this Event
COME TO THIS presents... Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble live at The Winchester in Bournemouth 22nd April 2017
Possibly best known for her backing vocals on Blur's Parklife album - you know the whispery French voice on 'To The End' - Laetitia Sadier is to us, one of the most important musicians EVER. Her band, Stereolab are known for being the founders of the 'Post Rock' genre and although they're still relatively unheard of, they've influenced and collaborated with a whole host of heroes. Albums like 'Emperor Tomato Ketchup' and 'Transient Random Noisebursts with Announcements' totally blew our minds and totally still do.
We're super, super, super lucky (and super, super psyched) to have booked her to play in Bournemouth. Especially on a SATURDAY NIGHT!
She last played in Bournemouth all the way back in 1995 when Stereolab supported Pulp at the BIC. Stereolab are currently on an indefinite hiatus and so the Laetitia Sadier Source Ensemble is the closest you'll get to one of the greatest bands of our generation. Their forthcoming album 'Find Me Finding You' will be released on Drag City Records in March.
