What makes children more addicted to internet?
Dr Ching-Yu Hang (Lecturer in Psychology)
It would be hard to imagine living our daily lives without internet. Having access to internet can have great benefits in many different aspects in our lives. However, when we cannot take control in internet use, then we have a problem: Internet addiction, which can cause social, psychological, academic and vocational problems. For children, they might be even more vulnerable than adults, because their self-control ability is still developing. In this talk, Dr. Huang will discuss several factors that make children more vulnerable to internet addiction from empirical research evidence.
