About this Event

Von Hertzen Brothers have managed the not-incosiderable feat of crowning the Finnish album chart with challenging and intelligent music sung in English five times since forming in 2000, with: 'Approach' (2006), 'Love Remians the Same' (2008), 'Stars Aligned' (2011), 'Nine Lives' (2013) and 'New Day Rising' (2015).



In the process, the band has found an international audience and have appeared all over Europe alongside acts such as Opeth, Foo Fighters, 30 Seconds to Mars and Neil Young.



In 2013, their fifth album, 'Nine Lives' was nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year by Classic Rock Magazine, while lead single, 'Flowers and Rust' won the Anthem of the Year Prize at the UK Progressive Rock Awards that same year. The band were once again nominated for Best Rock Album of the Year by Classic Rock for their sixth full-length, 'New Day Rising' in 2015, alongside albums from acts such as Iron Maiden and Faith No More.



Von Hertzen Brothers make their Bristol return in support of forthcoming seventh album, 'VII: War Is Over', this November.
