The Dead Lay Waiting

https://www.facebook.com/TheDe adLayWaiting

Formed in 2007, The Dead Lay Waiting are a youthful 5-piece metal band. After playing furiously through the U.K, the band landed a slot at the Bloodstock Festival in 2008. Following this, the band signed to Rising Records (Trigger The Bloodshed, Bleed From Within & Mendeed) where they recorded their debut album 'We Rise' in January 2009. When it was released, the average age of the band was 16.

The album received a 3K's from Kerrang and 7/10 from Metal Hammer. While preparing for the first album, they were lucky enough to play with bands such as Opeth, Architects & Skindred at the highly acclaimed HammerFest '09. During 2010, the band toured relentlessly with bands such as Trigger The Bloodshed, Bleed From Within & Sarah Jezebel Deva (ex Cradle Of Filth), as well as performing at the world renowned Download Festival.

After gaining vast amounts of tour experience, the band embarked on their 2nd album entitled ‘Almost Heaven’ which was released on 13th June 2011 to coincide with their 2nd appearance at Download Festival as a main support act. The album features 60 minutes of pulsating music that was well received in the music press world wide. The album also marked the return of Barry Clayton, the voice behind the now well-known introduction to Iron Maiden’s 'Number Of the Beast'.

'The Days I'm Gone', was the bands first video release for Almost Heaven and crept its way up to No.6 in the Scuzz T.V 'Most Played' chart. Following the bands success, The Dead Lay Waiting were nominated for the prestigious award ceremonies in the following two categories: Kerrang: Best British Newcomer Band and Metal Hammer: Best Underground Band. The boys also had the tremendous experience leading up to the Metal Hammer Awards Ceremony by jumping aboard the Metal Hammer Boat (Aka 'HMS Hammer') to open up the stage for the amazing bands Black Spider, Tesseract & Biohazard which travelled up the River Thames to the awards ceremony that were held at the o2 Arena.

Before 2011 could make a close, the guys manage to tour for 2 more months in the U.K & Europe and record another music video from their 2nd album 'Burnt To Ashes' whilst writing their 3rd album on the road. In 2012, The Dead Lay Waiting have already recording their 3rd release in Barbados, whilst also recording 2 brand new music videos for the mini-album which is expected for release in late 2012/early 2013.

After recording the band's latest release, TDLW embarked on a 2 month long tour around UK and Europe, going as far afield as Latvia, Estonia and Sweden. In October, The Dead Lay Waiting are co-headlining a UK tour promoted by Live Nation with Fearless Vampire Killers and then once again heading to Europe before the year is over. With a new release and 2 new videos to be released, 2013 is set to be The Dead Lay Waiting's year.

Gutlocker

https://www.facebook.com/Gutlo ckerUK

We are Gutlocker a metal band from Surrey, UK! Are goal is to create angry, grumpy, dirty, music that makes you really feel the strain! 4 musicians together all doing what we love - passionate, committed, and consistent. Gutlocker started life when Martin met Craig and began writing songs with a simple agenda – heavy, petulant metal with no bullshit - just straight up head-banging riffs minus the self-important bollocks. Rich joined soon after and the band started jamming, and the line-up was completed by Hazzi who heard the initial demos and nagged the guys incessantly to give her a chance.

Within only 4 months they had their debut EP Welcome To F**ktown (a tribute to hometown Woking) and set about getting as many gigs as possible. Second EP Repression came not long after as momentum gathered and was eventually featured alongside bands like Amorphis and Gama Bomb on the Terrorizer cover CD., who called it ‘music to torture innocent citizens in your basement to’. Bonded by a mutual love of Strapping Young Lad, drinking and taking the piss, they are still only a short way into their never-ending quest to bring some cathartic anger to the world.

As antidote to both awful popular music and to their pretentious peers, a Gutlocker gig will leave you misanthropic but satisfied; bad-tempered but happy. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud to stay updated! You can be linked to all our social media platforms throughout the website so please follow, share and get the word out about Gutlocker as we are here to stay!

Victorian Whore Dogs

https://www.facebook.com/VWDBA ND

Victorian Whore Dogs are a Sludge/Post Hardcore band from Guildford, combining the influences of bands such as Will Haven, Neurosis, Vison Of Disorder and Iron Monkey to make a disgusting sludge fest of pounding riffs, slow tempos and abrasive vocals. The four piece have been gigging throughout the United Kingdom for most of 2012, broadcasting their brand of "Sexy Hobo Tramp core" to anyone willing (or unwilling) to hear it.

Since their creation in 2010 Victorian whore dogs have released 3 EPs, their most recent release "Fetch" has gained much popularity amongst the sludge metal underground. They will be stepping into the studio once again in late 2013 to record a follow up mini album. If you have a beard you will probably like this.
