Big shout to everyone that made it to the 40th session down at cosies! Walya, Sasha Steppa, A-Bee, Summer Aisha and Dutchie supplied some serious records for your enjoyment and the session was a stormer!

Green King Cuts have made a lasting impression since catching our attention with their first vinyl release GCK001 featuring family friend C-Side and bass extraordinaire Cessman. Their attention to detail whether it’s artwork or musical content has quickly asserted their spot among the ranks of locally run, high quality, independent vinyl labels and we can’t wait to hear their roots inspired, sound system tailored selections.

Somah will also be joining us on the evening. One of the heads behind the Unity Sessions events, sound system and record label up in Carlisle, he has been pushing roots to dubstep records around the country with his crew. His introduction to us (a whole folder of tunes and very friendly hello) and the delicate yet heavy vibes encompassed in his productions hit a sweet spot and no doubt his set at this session will too as he will be playing a set of mostly his own productions cut to dubplate.

Revinyl Sessions have an open-deck, open-genre policy so anyone can come and play whatever wax they're feeling, with special guests thrown in for good measure. Our aim is to bring people together through an appreciation of the vinyl format. It doesn't matter if you don’t have much experience, the Revinyl Sessions aim to be a platform for people to go from bedroom DJ to playing out more regularly.
