MLUTV are pleased to confirm that the post-punk, coldwave band from Stockholm, Sweden NONN (Fuzz Club Records) & Dark Psych, Dance, Doomshine Boogie band from Amsterdam, Netherlands (Sydney, Australia) SPIRIT VALLEY (Fuzz Club Records) will be performing live at Bristol’s THE CROFTERS RIGHTS on TUESDAY 19th SEPTEMBER 2017.





NONN BIO:



Sweden already boasts some of the most exciting names in modern psychedelia and now, rising out of a desolate winter to join the ranks is NONN (the solo monikor of The Orange Revival’s Christian Eldefors) with his brooding post-punk/coldwave.



His bleak, icy surroundings in Stockholm, Sweden inevitably became a huge influence on this project, blurring the line between sharp, glacial post-punk and the industrial electronic aesthetic of the 80s. They are influenced as much by Kraftwerk, New Order, and Suicide as they are by modern outfits such as label-mates The Underground Youth, and Throw Down Bones.



Although contemporary in feel, it’s hard to listen to these tracks and not picture them sound-tracking moments of sheer euphoria in some sticky-floored warehouse in 80s Berlin. It’s got it all; the minimal droning synths, Kosmische drum-machine percussion, jangling post-punk guitars and echoing, forlorn vocals. There’s something here for lovers of psych-rock, post-punk and electronica alike.

Spirit Valley are a two-piece based in Amsterdam and the latest addition to sign to iconic London imprint label Fuzz Club Records. Their second LP ‘Negatives’, released August 4th, see’s their pulsing dance-floor-ready psych rock blur the line between the dark fuzz of Dead Skeletons, the warped synths of Moon Duo and the gravelly post-punk croons of Interpol or The Chameleons.
