Drift Continental Presents: Samson Sounds (Live)



Drift Continental comes straight off the back of summer 2017 with a bang. Samson Sounds, Glasgow’s very own 5 piece World Bass heavyweights land in Bristol to accompany us for an evening of musical flavours. Assisting these vibe providers in delivering the goodness will be a one off special from the Hold Tight Records crew and Spud Roots. Selectors on the evening will be packings bags with anything from the realm of Disco, Afrobeat, Afro-Funk, Highlife, Soul and heavy lashings intercontinental tropical grooves.



Leading the charge in Scotlands’ world dance music scene, Samson Sounds carry the energy towards a positive dance floor vibration. Guitar strings, brass, vocals and digital align to form new audible experiences of World Bass music. Originating from the homemade dubwise Samson Soundsystem they are no strangers to bass weight and can deliver a good time guarantee at any venue.



Spud Roots: Mostly known for his top tier Roots and Dubs selections Spud Roots is also able to load his record bag with a killer spectrum of Afro-Funk, Ethio Jazz and Afrobeat weaponry suitable for the dancefloor.



Hold Tight Records (Afro Special)

Fresh from travel, one of Hold Tights very own Jono Jenkins will be presenting the rare cuts he’s brought back from Kenya. Expect some uplifting 1960’s to 1970’s Hi Life to ease you into the evening nicely. Also in this one off special will be Tenor Stepah, Kreed & Ickle.
