Youthmovies will reunite in March 2018 for two gigs fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity: The Michael Barry Fund. The gigs will take place at The Bullingdon in Oxford on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th March 2018 and will feature support handpicked by the band.



Youthmovies toured extensively between 2003 and 2010, playing ATP, Latitude, curating a stage at Leeds Festival and selling out a headline show in Tokyo before concluding with a final sold out UK farewell tour in March 2010. They released two revered EPs followed by the album Good Nature on Drowned in Sound in March 2008. As one of Oxford’s most popular bands Youthmovies influenced a generation of local musicians, with Foals, Jonquil, and Chad Valley, among many others, all big fans of the group. Recently the band released an online archive of their recordings at https://ymss.bandcamp.com/.



The Michael Barry Fund is excited to be hosting this unexpected but eagerly anticipated reunion show. The gig will be a fitting tribute to Michael Barry, who passed away in early 2016 at just 35 years of age, after fighting a brain tumour for over two years.
