Road To Blissfields: Finalists Announced
“The stuff festival dreams are made of” Clash
“A great mix of artists, perfect weather, great site, fantastic food, and just the right atmosphere” – eFestivals
“You have to hand it to them: they know how to throw a party” – Notion Magazine
“Blissfields has mastered the small festival” – Virtual Festivals

Blissfields are pleased to announce the finalists in their annual Road To Blissfields competition, in collaboration with Xfm – searching across the country for the best new acts to join its 2014 music bill. From the hundreds of artists that entered, just 32 have been selected to play heats taking place this Spring, the winners of which will go on to perform the opening night of Blissfields.
The acts appearing at The BOILEROOM's Road To Blissfields are:
Tusks - (Emily Underhill) https://www.facebook.com/Tusksofficial
Martha
Empire Parade
The Lagan
Erika
Once again the response from acts wanting to enter the competition has been incredible. A record number of acts applied this year, and the festival organisers have taken great time, along with the individual event promoters, to consider every single entry. Event founder Paul Bliss adds, “it’s great to see the depth and range of live music out there, and we wish the best of luck to all those bands that entered”.
Winners will be decided on each night by Blissfields Festival representatives and a team of specially selected judges comprising local music writers, promoters, record store owners, radio presenter and performers. Each of the seven winners will perform during the opening night, July 3rd, of the festival on The Hustle Den stage, the largest stage open that night.
Blissfields would like to thank Xfm, as well as all the event promoters and all those acts that entered, for making this the biggest year in the talent search yet.
