Catfish & The Bottlemen
"Working with producer and Communion co-founder Ian Grimble (Daughter, British Sea Power, Red Hot Chili Peppers) at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales, Homesick is the first offering from Llandudno-based four-piece Catfish and the Bottlemen - to be released on June 17.
The track has already picked up radio support from Steve Lamacq and Lauren Laverne on 6Music (rebel playlist winner) and Zane Lowe (Next Hype), Huw Stevens, Phil and Alice on Radio 1, XFM evening playlist..
Catfish and the Bottlemen are notably the first indie guitar band signed to Communion Records (Ben Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, Deap Valley, Half Moon Run). They inked the deal this Spring, following an 18-month period which saw them play over 100 live shows both in the UK and abroad.
Having honed their live set playing clubnights for Carl Barat and 6Music’s Chris Hawkins and persuading the likes of The Vaccines to attend their gigs - 2013 sees the band extending on recent support with 1975 as they embarked on a headline UK tour and will join Glasvegas on their UK tour dates.
Further live shows for the band include summer festival appearances at Dot to Dot, The Great Escape, Wakestock and Tramlines." - Music Week
