DHP PRESENTS

Memphis, Tennessee’s Lucero has earned its reputation as one of the hardest-working bands in America by touring relentlessly for 15 years straight. Formed in 1998, the five-piece plays a unique brand of punk rock, southern boogie and Memphis soul that has attracted a diverse and devoted fan base worldwide. The members may look like tattooed tough guys, but they write sing-along songs about small town life and love, bringing a modern edge to classic Americana subjects.

Starting 2014 strong, Lucero will headline a tour of the southeast U.S. and then join up with Dropkick Murphys’ annual St. Patrick’s Day tour as main support. The band plans to release its first-ever official live album in the spring of 2014, which will include select recordings from its three-night stand at Terminal West in Atlanta, Georgia at the end of 2013.

“Memphis, Tennessee’s Lucero are as much country as they are punk, or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, the band's sound since their inception in 1998 has evolved along with their fans who are devoted to the refusal to be compartmentalized as the band is themselves.” – Brooklyn Vegan
