About this Event

Ever been stuck for somewhere to listen to house music on a Friday or Saturday night in town? Sure there's plenty of places to get a stein, listen to Deacon Blue and talk to hen parties from Doncaster but what about the party heads?



Considered a dying breed, the small scale dance club has uprooted to industrial warehouses and big city venues in favour of international artists and ticket fees that would dig a well in Africa.



Politics and observations aside - we realise the lack of somewhere to go after a few drinks, for a good old dance and some top class tunes. We're all about local talent at The Magnet; not to say our DJ booth hasn't been graced by leviathan figureheads of the genre like Derek Carter, Terry Francis, Rhadoo & Pedro over the years - but there's still a whole load of talented producers and performers of the city with a lot of electronic love to give.



We will therefore be holding a weekly Friday night (& some Saturday's) - deep down in the basement of The Magnet with friends and family from the scene.

Opens - 12am

Close - 6am (or later)

Fee - Free before 2am & £5 thereafter





A first set of friends to come and grace our basement with their presence is the party connoisseurs at Rubix. Recently welcoming Stacey Pullen at Easter and looking forward to a massive event on June 21st with Desolat head hencho, Martin Buttrich (official) + guests - these guys are really on the ascension in Liverpool's party scene at the moment and we're happy to have them on board for a proper knees up.
