We're throwing open our doors once again for a multi staged building wide Mello mansion three day benderthon featuring a whole host of incredible acts who have found a spiritual home over the years at MelloMello.

MELLOSTOCK II // BUILDING NEWS



MelloMello are pleased to announce MelloStock II and some very exciting news



Taking place 5 years since the original MelloStock in 2009 which was a huge 3 day, 3 floor party of a fundraiser for securing our premises licence and the formation of MelloMello CIC. Since becoming incorporated as a Community Interest Company MelloMello has never stopped evolving its offering and commitment to grassroots arts in Liverpool, with its aim to create a welcoming and stimulating creative hub firmly achieved. Now, in 2014, MelloMello prepares for its most exciting evolution to date: moving premises!



MelloStock II will be the first in a series of high profile fundraising events between July and the end of 2014. MelloMello are raising funds to secure a new base of operations to move into in early 2015 as well as, more importantly, curating these large scale events in order to celebrate the past seven years MelloMello have spent since its inception on Slater Street in order to give the building the send off it deserves.



The building was purchased by new landlords earlier this year who have their own plans for the premises but with whom MelloMello have been working with closely and amicably in order to achieve a smooth transition, allowing MelloMello to see out their lease until the end of 2014. MelloMello will not be commenting on the future use of the building or its new owners. Whilst we have been unable to secure our building, despite some incredible fundraising over the past two years, MelloMello has and will continue to use funds from our previous campaign to grow and sustain the business' focus on its community based artistic endeavours.



We hope that our customers and supporters will join us in getting behind our big move and the exciting prospects for our continued growth and development it presents. We are very much looking forward to taking everything we've learnt to a new premises and hope to have some big news very soon. MelloMello has no further comment regarding our potential future premises at the moment as we focus our efforts on making the last 6 months on Slater Street as joyous, memorable and celebratory as possible. All announcements will be made through the usual channels as well as our own Facebook (mellomellocafe), Twitter (@mellomellocafe) and our website (mellomello.co.uk), so stay tuned.



MelloStock II will be a weekend long festival evoking the free-loving, psychedelic spirit of 1969 before the inevitible death of the hippie dream. The festival will showcase musicans, artists and performers for whom MelloMello has been a spiritual home over the past 7 years and for whom MelloMello has been a vital factor in their development, as well as featuring a number of our favourite acts who have been instrumental in creating the unique MelloMello vibe.

No adv. individual day tickets, but there will be a limited number of the on-door-tickets for each day.
