Glasswerk is proud to present Kate Young. A fiddler, singer and composer from Scotland, and she has recently gained a First-Class Honours degree from Newcastle University's BMus Folk and Traditional Music course. She experiments with the different possibilities within the field of fiddle-singing and has performed with other fiddle-singers such as Eliza Carthy and Bella Hardy.



In Kate in the Kettle, the band play a collection of songs and tunes which are both traditional and composed by Kate. Marit Falt from Sweden/Noway plays Lat-Mandola, and Victor Solana from Spain plays Indian Tabla.
