In 2010, a youthful These Ghosts released their debut album, ‘You Are Not Lost, You Are Here’, before embarking on their respective university degrees. During their studies, the trio vowed to pursue their mutual love of creating Radiohead and Sigur Ros inspired guitar music together, making countless journeys between London, Reading and Leicester to begin writing their sophomore effort. The process was long and the sessions sporadic, but the prolonged period of time proved to be crucial as the band honed their sound, adopting electronic influences from the likes of The Knife, Four Tet and Mount Kimbie. This development was complimented by the arrival of Matthew Herbert, who joined Jonny Cole on production duties in early 2014. Having completed their studies and relocated from the wilds of the East Anglian countryside to South East London, the new album ‘Still The Waves’ is to be released on NX Records – a collaborative label venture between Goldsmiths College and Accidental Records on September 15th.

Enigmatically gorgeous and unsettling - The Line of Best Fit

These Ghosts serve it up on a platter of melancholic guitars akin to early Radiohead. - NME

A mix of reverb-drenched vocals and forward-leaning production, it becomes pensive before developing into a saw-toothed monster by its clattering conclusion. - DIY Magazine
