Having successfully run our own Vintage as well as Artisan market at the venue for some years, we’re stepping it up a gear and moving to local landmark the Guildford Cathedral.



As Guildford’s Independent, Alternative Live Music venue, we pride ourselves on championing our local music and creative community. Which is why we are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Vintage Guildford: a fair that provides a platform for the finest local vintage sellers, designers and makers to exhibit what wonderful items of yesteryear are available right on their doorstep! There will be stalls selling vintage clothing, homewares, vinyl, and more!

LIVE MUSIC

We will have a programme of live music running throughout the day, featuring the lovely Lucy Holland, Sarah Mclellan, Phoebe Gorry, and Annie Grace Smith, and community choirs TBA.



VINTAGE CATWALK

Our Boileroom models will be strutting their stuff showcasing the fine vintage clothing and accessories that will be on sale on the day as well as some specially made one-off pieces.



POP-UP SALON & MEN’S BARBERS

The incredibly talented Nick from Headcase barber’s will be rockin’ up with his mobile salon, offering 50’s style haircuts and beard grooming.

Ivy Louise Nails will also be there on the day to manage those manicures, girls!

And the lovely Gemma Louise will also be on-hand to curl up those Victory rolls.

Lucy Holland, beauty consultant for Space NK will be offering FREE 50’s makeovers, lush-up those lashes and preen those pouts!



A local photographer is offering a free Vintage style portrait photo shoot with one free digital image that can be taken away. Prints will also be available to purchase on the day.



CRAFT WORKSHOPS



Running throughout the day for all ages and abilities:



Vintage card making workshop

Make a loved one a handmade card for Valentines Day, or any other day, just because they’re nice.



Bath salts

Plan ahead after afternoon of perusing the rails, jiving to the music, or getting your hair did by making your own bath salts bomb with Epsom salts, aromatherapy oils, and dried flowers to have a good soak in the tub!



Jewellery

Create your own vintage-inspired jewellery with haberdashery queen Jemma French



Pulled Wool Animals

Learn how to make kitsch animals using pulled wool felting techniques to display around your house.



TEA ROOM

Teas, proper coffees and homemade cakes will be served with aplomb on the day by the delectable Caper & Berry.

DIRECTIONS



Vintage Guildford is being held up at Guildford Cathedral: Stag Hill, Guildford, GU2 7UP.



By Bus

There are several routes that stop at the bottom of Stag Hill, leaving a 5 minute up-hill walk to the Cathedral. Routes 3, 27 and 37 go through the University, the pedestrian route to the Cathedral from the University is well sign-posted from campus. Routes 4 (to Guildford Bus Station past the Railway Station) & 5 (from the Bus Station past the Railway Station) go along Madrid Road to the bottom of Cathedral approach.



By Car

There is easy access from the Guildford by-pass (A3). If approaching from London or Portsmouth take the exit signed to Cathedral and University. If approaching on the A322 or A323 from Bagshot or Aldershot, at the A3 roundabout take the exit signed to Portsmouth and turn off the A3 at the first exit (signed to Cathedral and University). If entering Guildford from Horsham (A281) or Godalming (A3100), leave the central gyratory system at the exit marked Farnham (A31). After crossing the railway bridge take the first turning right into Guildford Park Road and continue along Madrid Road and The Chase for 3/4 mile. At the roundabout, take the fourth exit for the Cathedral entrance.



Parking

There is free parking available at Guildford Cathedral. If the car park is full, there is also pay & display parking 5 minutes walk at the University of Surrey (University of Surrey, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 7XH). Follow the signs from the main entrance of the University for the car park.



ACCESSIBILITY



-Wheelchair access to Cathedral ground floor via a ramp at the West entrance. Please note: this ramp is currently too steep and assistance may be required. A correct DDA compliant ramp is planned



-Wheelchairs are available within the Cathedral



- Induction loop (not available in the West Gallery)



- Disabled toilets in the Refectory building



- Wheelchair access to the Refectory Restaurant, Shop and toilets, clearly marked, from the passage to the University beside the Cathedral Offices
