Growing up on a diet of soul, funk and RnB, Simba later got into electronic music by way of drum and bass, listening to Bailey’s 1Xtra show and his cousin’s d'n'b and Techno collection.

Citing Skream and Disclosure among his production idols, Simba has already received support from both as well as the likes of Eats Everything, Dusky, Shadow Child, Midland and Justin Martin, all of whom have played Simba’s music.
