Our first 1812 Live gig of 2015 in conjunction with Laurent Perrier Champagne and Dorset Society.



1812 will be hosting an intimate party for 300 people to celebrate the anniversary of Edwin Starr's passing on the 2nd April 2003. His brother Angelo Starr leads the way with the 8 piece Edwin Starr Band with special guest Shola Ama to celebrate this very special date. The event has previously been hosted at the legendary Jazz Café Camden so 1812 were delighted when Angelo himself selected them after falling in love with the venue last year!



The Edwin Starr Band have been around since 1982, their reputation for consistently outstanding live performance is the foundation of their success. Their intimate relationship with soul music has had legendary artists perform with them including Barry White, The Temptations and Boy George to name a few.



Shola Ama will join us as a special guest performing a live PA of her greatest hits. Shola is one of Britain's most successful UK R&B artists, her debut album Much Love sold over 1 million copies scoring 2 top five singles with 'You Might Need Somebody' and 'You're The One I Love'. The success of "Much Love" culminated in 2 MOBO award wins and 2 Brit Awards.



Angelo and Shola will be putting on this fitting tribute which promises to be a spectacular night!
