PALMA VIOLETS

http://www.palmaviolets.co.uk/

Fresh from headlining the NME Awards tour, high-energy Indie Rock band Palma Violets will be arriving in Reading, to perform material off their anticipated forthcoming second record Danger In the Club (produced by John Leckie -Radiohead/ The Stone Roses/ Muse).

Danger In The Club reverberates with a renewed confidence and sense of self-identity. If 180 was, in Sam’s memorable words, “like a squirrel trapped in a box of foam”, then Danger In The Club is a much sharper and definitive statement of intent – broadening out and shading in what it exactly means to exist in Palma Violets’ universe. The final word on that should go – as ever - to Jesson.

“I’m very proud of this record. It’s taken a lot out of us and it’s not been easy. It’s important that people know that but – having said that – we feel that we’ve reaffirmed our identity but expanded it at the same time. I can’t wait for people to hear it. I want them to be as swept away by it as much as we were when we were making it.”

Fans can expect a rousing show with the band performing old favourites as well new material.

Ming City Rockers

https://soundcloud.com/mingcityrockers

Ming City Rockers hail from the place so bad they put it next to Grimsby. It’s not that time forgot it ; time never knew it was there.

Huw Stephens of Radio 1 recently said “Ming City R*ckers are the best rock ‘n’ roll band ever to come out of Immingham” and he could well be right.

There’s 4 of them. They like 3 chords. 2 they like better.

What’s wrong with this world can be put right with Ming City R*ckers. It’s a revolution, it’s a revultion of what we've become , it’s all it takes to make things right.
