About this Event

22:15 - 23:00

The Cortege

An alpine mounty, a guy from the Stainal region and a Dagenham lad found each other after years of searching for the perfect band in 2011.

At their explosive live shows they have been compared to the likes of QOTSA, At the drive in, Ruben and Tool to name a few.

“Elvis Costello jams with RATM” as Kevan Edinborough kindly puts it.

John Kennedy (X-Posure) reckons they remind him of early Pearl Jam.

Their first EP ‘triangle’ is available at iTunes, spotify, bandcamp(for free), youtube and other online platforms.

‘triangle’ was recorded in 2012 at Bink Bonk studio with Bristol’s equivalent to Steve Albini, sound engineer and producer Matt Sampson.

Live recordings from a gig @ the Shelter in Vienna are also available at iTunes, spotify, bandcamp(for free), youtube and other online platforms.

As Frank Zappa once said ‘Talking about music is a bit like dancing about architecture’, listen to the tunes or even better try to catch them live at one of their next shows.

shadow cats

Shadow Cats are a band from Worcestershire that mix electronic instruments with a classic band setup in order to create a modern dance band. Originally starting as an electronic dance music project by Luke Barnett and Luke Grayland, they developed into a live band when BBC Introducing asked them to do a live session. Their style combines chilled beats, euphoric melodies and a wide variety of synthesised sound. - See more at: http://glasswerk.co.uk/concerts/gig/12648/The+Cortege-Surya,+London/#sthash.2bMHPVBO.dpuf
