Nepal Aid Fundraiser featuring GONZALLA and KING NO ONE / The Duchess York / 29th May

29/05/2015

About this Event

Friday 29th May is going to be a wonderful night of sensational music and it's all for a very good cause. This night will not only showcase some amazing up and coming artists but all the money will be going to the ‘No Silence for Nepal' charity.

After hearing of the horrific tragedy in Nepal a group of friends got together to organise this event to help raise money for the victims of the earthquake. Lives have been devastated and many people were unfortunately lost. We felt like we needed to help in some way, no matter how big or small, every little bit helps.

We ask for your help in raising as much money as we can for the innocent victims. Just by being there you will be helping so many lives.

We are independent from the venue and would like to thank the team at The Duchess for helping us and making this event possible. So please, spread the word. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell strangers down the pub. It's shaping up to be a fantastic night and it will be helping so many people.

FEATURING GONZALLA

Under the moniker ‘Gonzalla', Cody Randall is an up and coming solo artist that combines the sonically colourful atmosphere of California and the grace of norwegian folk/pop.

His roots are firmly planted in Liverpool after moving from California three years ago to pursue his music career. During his initial time in the UK his love of music expanded to the likes of Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, Ben Howard and Dr. Dog who gave him inspiration to create his own music with a unique twist;

Cody grew up in Southern California where since his earliest memories his life revolved around the ocean. Surfing was his first love and then came music not long after, for him the two have a strong and inevitable connection. Cody; ‘‘I think it shows in the songwriting whether it be the tone or esthetic my music has. I lived in a town called Huntington Beach near LA which is a wonderful place, I would surf in the morning and than later that evening go see groups perform in Hollywood, I had the best of both worlds."

His debut self-titled EP is planned to release within the late months of the new year 2015. "It was beautiful" said one current top UK's solo artists, Rhodes during his show earlier in the year.

With a quickly growing roster of support shows including Ady Suleiman, Coffee And Cakes For Funerals, Thomas J Speight, and Rhodes along with festival slots such as Liverpool Sound City Lipastock, and The Liverpool Acoustic Festival; His music seems to rapidly be spreading through out the UK community solely through his live performances.
