A melting pot of influences collectively rooted in electronic music, DEVOLUTION aka Pete Devereux has once conquered the mainstream as one half of Artful Dodger.



With releases on Black Butter Records & Speakerbox, a Sunday night Kiss FM residency, his breakout club smash ‘My Friends’ broke records for likes and downloads when Annie Mac featured it as part of her revered Free Music Monday series.



The sound of DEVolution comprises of all manner of influences: early rave synths, garage, breaks, downtempo and orchestral embellishments. With emphasis on the lost art of songwriting, it represents a natural progression from his Artful Dodger days: “The key to garage was the songs,” he explains. “That’s what ultimately gave garage its widespread popularity.”
