“Sons of Icarus are a new, young, British, organic, visceral four piece hard rock band who already have cut their teeth live supporting the likes of Vintage Trouble, Black Spiders, Rival Sons, Hayseed Dixie, The Answer, Orange Goblin and Clutch.



They were winners of Marshall Amplifiers’ ‘Ultimate Band Contest’ and released their debut 4 track EP ‘You Want It All’ to much acclaim at the end of December 2012.



Metal Hammer’s Jonathan Selzer reviewed the EP in the magazine’s January 2012 issue, stating that ‘The opening title track might sound like the voyaging groove of Soundgarden’s ‘Big Love’ fronted by Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson but there’s so much talent and belief running here you’d swear their Surrey hometown was bordering Louisiana. ‘



Metal-Discovery.com raved “This really is an unbelievable debut release and the band show a maturity beyond their relatively tender years. If they carry on in this vein they will surely have a bright future and that can only be a good thing if it produces further releases of this quality. 9/10”



Sons Of Icarus have just completed the recording of their explosive debut album ‘Beyond The Sun’, with producer / mixer Dan Weller of Sixth (Enter Shikari, Young Guns etc.)
