Mortiis is a dark industrial band from Norway, fronted by Håvard Ellefsen, also known as the bands namesake: Mortiis.



Håvard Ellefsen originally played bass for legendary black metallers Emperor before leaving to focus on his solo project, subsequently going on to release 11 albums between 1993-2010.



After a four and half year hiatus, during which there has been no new music or live performances, Mortiis in October 2015 announced details of his upcoming 12th album ‘The Great Deceiver’, to be released in early 2016.



Mortiis returns to the UK this spring for the first time in 5 years, including a stop at The Fleece, Bristol on Sun 29th, in support of this upcoming release.
