Sprung's Annual UK Funky Day Party is back again with another all-star line up.



Happy to announce our first headliner for the event, the man that helped shape the sound of UK Funky - APPLE!



Apple, who practically birthed the sound of UK Funky with his raw take on the tribal sounds of house. His distinctive instrumentals such as De Siegalizer, Dutty Dance and Chantes are probably the most important in the UK Funky genre and have never lost their presence on the dancefloors since they were made nearly a decade ago.

Crazy Cousinz need minimal introduction. They remain as the UK Funky scene's absolute hit factory churning out anthem after anthem.

There is no doubt that Dusk + Blackdown are considered an authority in the UK underground. For over a decade they have been clocking emerging movements and scenes ahead of most; something which is explicitly channelled through the prominent underground imprint, Keysound Recordings, of which the pair head.



This foreseeable wisdom did not miss the UK Funky train in the latter half of the noughties. Blackdown's journalistic documentation of the emergance of UK Funky can be seen on his highly regarded blog. Dusk + Blackdown's involvement at both Rinse FM and clubnight FWD regularly put them amongst most of the UK Funky scenes key players. The influence of the scene is something that has always been apparent in both their own music and the output of Keysound.



Linking up with the much loved local Koast to hoast their set, we are extremely excited to have Dusk + Blackdown on our bill and we're sure you are too.
