Bristol Science Association - Controversial Science Cafe - Curing Death
About this Event
This Months Topic - Curing Death
More and more people are discussing the possibility that we might soon 'cure' death. There is a good chance that we'll be able to cure most of the diseases associated with old age, leading to more and more people reaching our supposed maximum age of around 120. But what are the consequences for society? And what if we really are able to halt, or even reverse, ageing?
This will be an interactive evening of discussion and debate - the first of six on the topic of Better Humans? Jon Turney, science writer, will be our facilitator. http://jonturney.co.uk/.
We are the Bristol & Bath branch of the British Science Association. You can keep up to date with our events at: http://bscia-bsba.org.uk.
