Emerging from roots in the New Forest and born from brotherly alliance, Young Astronaut are a diverse indie outfit that can demonstrate stark soundscapes to storming percussion and mesmerising guitars.



The bands debut offering ‘Fawn’ was released in early 2012, featuring prominent folk/acoustic stylings and melodic poise. With a growing following and after earning acclaim from numerous music blogs, the albums first single ‘Hey Little Ghost’ earned the band national radio play on BBC 6Music and subsequently was promoted to the BBC introducing podcast.



Four years later and they return with a new record. Recorded over a two year period and produced by grammy nominated engineer Geoff Swan (White Lies, Haim) the album achieves a more absolute, refined sound. Exploring exposed grand pianos, introspective, often cryptic lyrics and demonstrating a punchier electric tone more akin to the likes of Modest Mouse. It promises to be an ambitious and defining record for Young Astronaut.
