About this Event

For our opening night of Hy Brasil Music Club we are celebrating with two of Bristols' Finest musical outfits; Baraka and DJ Suzuki.



Baraka have made Bristol their base for a very long time now but the are on the road touring thw world more han they are at home.

The band is a unique combination of some of the finest musicians you will have experienced. Members hailing from Ghana, Senegal, Dominica, Trinidad and Southern Ireland. Each individual contributes his own sound and style - Reggae featuring a Kora and Djembe, Township with a Calypso bassline, Hilife with a Blues Harmonica, Soca with Balafon and Flute. Baraka is edgy, experimantal and innovative and incredibly entertaining!



Suzuki

Suzuki is a Bristol based Japanese DJ. Resident DJ and Bristol Promoter in his own right. Suzuki matches his skills on the decks with his versatile and ecclectic Vinyl record colection that he's attained from around the world; From Manchester to Japan, there are very few record shops Suzuki hasnt found. He is a party connoisseur and is known for playing the best in Funk, Soul, Party, Disco, Hip-Hop, Afrobeat, Pych freak-out and everything in-between.
