Dropout Disco // Denis Sulta, Maurice Fulton & Brassica SOLD OUT
About this Event
For the next installment of Retro-Future we will be taking on The Marble Factory, with all of the decor touches and fittings which make our events so intimate and special. Expect the Marble Factory to look as you have never seen it before with a soundtrack curated by some of the finest the cosmos has to offer.
Denis Sulta (Numbers, DABJ) (3 Hours)
The rise of this Glasweigian has been stratospheric, since his debut on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams in 2014. He entered RA DJ ranking as number 26 last year, just ahead of Laurent Garnier & Richie Hawtin in his first year. His unflinching genius in production has been the catalyst, with heat such as 'Nein Fortiate' and 'Its Only Real' allowing the world to hear this man's ear for body shaking rhythm. He will be bringing he unique style of busy and colourful House to The Marble Factory for a 3 hour extended set.
Maurice Fulton (Bubbletease, Running Back)
One of House music's true originals, The Baltimore born genius has a dizzying list of psuedonyms and production credits which include Syclops, Basement Boys (Gypsy Woman?), Those Guys and BOOF all the way through to electro punk for his wife Mu. Labelled by FACT as 'Incomparable' and 'Visionary', his style is totally unique and organic, having crafted some of the most devastating club cuts of the last two decades. An oracle and an enigma, his sets are immersive, masterful and funky in a way words cannot descibe. Hear it to believe it.
Brassica (Feel My Bicep, Civil Music) (LIVE)
Distilling his influences of Disco and Ambient, Brassica has found a unique synth driven, and truly cosmic sound which saw him noticed and snapped up by Bicep to be a stalthwart of their label. He grew as a producer studying Sound Design in London, and honed his skills building his own analogue gear. His production is truly creative and hardware based, which he will transpose onto The Marble Factory with an extended Live Set of utterly space age boogie sounds. Oh, and its a Bristol debut.
Drop.disc (Dropout Disco, Clean Conception)
The residents will hold it down in down in normal fashion. No punches pulled, no body left unsweaty. Everything from Afro and Freaky Disco through to Steamy House Jams.
Join us for a night musical exellence in a transformed Marble Factory. As always, Dancing Room Only.
