Leading up to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival we are hosting the very best and exciting acts in Stand-up Comedy.

A Bunch of Japes is a night for comedians to try out new material so if you love stand up comedy this is the night for you!



Appearing tonight we have Martin Pilgrim and Jack Campbell.



Martin has been performing stand up since 2009, although thankfully very little evidence exists of his pre-2012 efforts. He is currently a regular on the Bristol and South-West comedy circuit and has recently supported both Josh Widdicombe and Russell Howard. He is performing two shows a day for the entirety of the 2013 Edinburgh Fringe, and recently received a favourable review in The Guardian.



Martin shies away from obvious jokes and easy laughs, and instead prefers to dissect his subject matter in clinical detail, taking situations to their logical conclusion and often far beyond. He is moving to London in September and is therefore on the lookout for gigs.

Jack Campbell is a stand-up comedian. Originating from rural Cambridgeshire, Jack now lives in Leicester and gigs all over the country.

Winner of English Comedian of the Year 2014, Jack has even performed in Australia, Germany, Finland, Latvia and Estonia.

Jack has always loved stand-up comedy and began performing whilst at De Montfort University, Leicester in 2009.



Acts are subject to change, but we will find somebody equally as awesome to fill in.
