After years comparing notes on obscure records and gym wear, Bedmo Disco and Bodywork has finally joined forces to put on a party. It’s a rather special one, too, thrown in honour of the forthcoming 2017 edition of Soundwave Croatia – an event that both will be performing at this July.



Since Soundwave is famed for offering an eclectic, soul-fuelled mix of musical styles performed by both live acts and DJs, we decided to follow the same approach for this official Bristol launch party. That means a bunch of ace DJs who are playing at the festival, and the small matter of a world exclusive: the first live performance of 'Decade Dubs' by our very own Bedmo Disco. Blimey.



Heading up the line-up is YADAVA, one of the highly rated resident DJs from killer Manchester party SO FLUTE. He made his production debut last year alongside another rising talent, Contours, with the duo contributing a tight track to one of Bristol label Banoffee Pies’ in-demand EPs. As a DJ, he’s renowned for joining the dots between disparate musical sounds with a style inspired by classic hip-hop DJs and open-minded selectors such as Mr Scruff. We’re expecting Yadava to bring the dancefloor heat, just as he’d done when warming up for the likes of Andres, Floating Points, Dego and Kaidi Tatham and Alexander Nut.



He’ll be joined on deck duties by returning Bristol party-starter HARRI PEPPER. The Stamp The Wax man built his reputation in the city before heading for the bright lights of London. He remains a regular visitor – he is a Slix Disco resident, after all – but now spends much more time appearing behind the decks at parties around the UK and beyond. This summer he’ll be making his second appearance at Soundwave Croatia.



In support you’ll find the BODYWORK DJs and BEDMO DISCO performing their DECADE DUBS show LIVE for the very first time! Yep, the long-serving trio of Awon, Five-Stylez and Sell By Dave are celebrating a decade of Bedmo Disco this summer. To mark ten action-packed years, they’ve decided to put together a very special live show comprising hardware, decks and special FX. We’ll be hosting their debut performance, which will be a non-stop romp through some of their productions and re-edits, re-imagined and jammed-out live. It will contain unheard versions of material they’ve previously released on Bedmo Disco Records, as well as never-before-heard tracks and a few cheeky surprises. We’re expecting big things – after all, there ain’t no party like a Bedmo party!
