September Song will be debuting their new album ‘The arrogance of time’ on Thursday July 6 th at the prestigious Cube Cinema in Bristol.



September Song is the latest collaboration between John Douglass and Steve Hogg, alumni’s of Bristol favourites including; Wushcatte, Kid Sinister and Augustine.



‘If you have ever wondered what the inside of my head sounds like then this album is for you!’ says John, whose song writing and arrangements are influenced by the likes of Paul Simon, Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson. “Lyrically the album is in some ways a musical reflection of Shakespeare’s seven stages of man and reflects the big life events that most of us encounter at some stage in our lives; births, deaths and all the stuff that happens in between!’



Over the last twenty years, John and Steve have been signed to Atlantic Records and EMI, amongst others, and have a loyal cult following, especially in Germany and Japan. Live appearances have been rare in recent years so this truly a special occasion.



The album and live band features a stellar cast of local musicians who make up the fifteen-piece line up including current or ex members of ; Get the Blessing, Blurt, The Blue Aeroplanes, Strangelove, Three Cane Whale, Katey Brooks Band, Grand Drive, The Shrinks and Phantom Limb.



The band also includes Pete Judge and Paul Wigens, who will also be performing together as Eyebrow bringing their ‘atmospheric, haunting, fascinating’ sounds to warm the evening up..
