About this Event

Hi Folks, we are back in Bar One's wonderful covered beer garden for the last Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer of the summer this Sunday.

Day tickets are just £8/£6 NUS and can be reserved for payment on the door by commenting below. Alternatively if you just want to come for the evening session after 6pm it's only £5/£4 NUS.

Top pro comedians will perform the hour shows they are taking to the world famous arts fest in the Scottish capital.

2.00pm – Patrick Monahan – Rewind Selector 90’s

A brand-new stand-up show from multi award-winning Patrick Monahan; who compares life as an Irish/Iranian teenager in the 90s to today. As identity cards and Cool Britannia were being introduced, Monahan found himself on the periphery as a teenager – trying to blend in but ending up with all the other ethnic groups. 'His tales of being an immigrant to Britain are thought-provoking yet hilarious.'

3.25pm – Tom Binns is Ian D Montfort – Ian Talk Three

In his third Ian talk, Ian, the hospital porter turned psychic healer, recently featured in BBC One's Hospital People, proves there is no need to provide proof that his methods work and provides evidence that evidence doesn't really matter.

4.50pm – Markus Birdman’s Between the Devil & the Deep Blue Sea

Deliciously dark re-workings, told through stand-up and live art. Three classic stories of making a deal with the wrong guy: Rumpelstiltskin, Faustus and the blues guitarist selling his soul at the crossroads. Dreams are like children – follow them too long, people get suspicious. Back from NZ Comedy Festival and Melbourne International Comedy Festival with his ninth Edinburgh Fringe solo show.

6.15pm – Geoff Norcott: Right Leaning but Well Meaning

The energetic and satirical Geoff Norcott, as seen on BBC1’s Question Time and who has written for Ch4’s 8 Out Of 10 Cats, BBC2’s The Sarah Millican Television Programme and BBC1’s Live at the Apollo, delivers an eclectic mix of dark material, impressions and politics with a confident smile and optimism. His shrewd standpoints on life make his anecdotes extremely captivating and leave his audiences wanting for more.

7.40pm – Big Howard Little Howard: Man and Boy

Howard Read writes for Horrible Histories and Danger Mouse and as the world’s first and only human/cartoon double-act is returning to the Fringe this year. Being a grown-up has snuck up on Big Howard, yet Little Howard remains unchanged. How does one tackle the harsh realities of adult life when your co-star wants to close the show on his fart-psychic routine? Perrier-nominated Big Howard and Little Howard have graced stage and screen all over the world, won a Writer’s Guild Award and can reverse-park a caravanette.

9.00pm – Tony Cowards - Punderdog

One of the best joke writers around; returns to Edinburgh with his new show, bursting at the seams with glorious gags, preposterous puns and witty one-liners. Punderdog is the follow up to last year's hilarious Daft Pun, which featured in the Top Jokes of the Fringe for The Scotsman, The Daily Mirror and The Evening Standard. If you like your comedy fast and furious, daft and silly then you'll definitely enjoy this!
