Cupid…draw back your bow, and let, your mad beats flooow...



On the 15th February we transform Buddha Lounge in to a heart-warming wonderland that will leave you on Cloud 9...



We had to slip that in somewhere, it wasn’t just a coincidence that our headliner for this party produced one of the greatest garage tracks of all time, Do You Want Me Baby, under the guise of Cloud 9.



Though a classic, Victor Simonelli’s anthem of a tune was absolutely gagging to be resurrected and so was brought back to life last year with an amazing remix from the undisputed stars of 2013, Dusky. Such was the quality of the original, the remix was simply a piece of handy craftwork to bring the old classic up to date. All the familiar sounds and catchy vocal were still firmly in place.



But lets not pigeon hole Victor with this one legendry track. He’s worked with the likes of Marshall Jefferson and Toddy Terry, his tracks have been played world-wide, favoured by marvel’s such as David Morales and Louie Vega. Frankie Knuckles himself called him, and we quote, ‘a legend’. He’s often regarded as the King of New York in his musical circles.



It’s a true honour to have such an icon, so well respected by his peers, to grace the decks of Buddha Lounge. Just like the Buddha, we’re all about love, peace and harmonic beats (OK, we made the last bit up, but you get the idea...). If they had hair, I'm sure even they would let it down for a shin dig like this...
