It's been a whirlwind year for York folk-rock band Blackbeard's Tea Party, including a headline slot at the Rainforest World Music Festival in Borneo, a brilliantly received debut at Glastonbury and a stonking run of 18 other festival appearances, including Cropredy and Larmer Tree Festival.



Blackbeard's Tea Party's fans range from the most committed folkies to the most hardcore of rockers, and in their five years together they have built up a reputation as one of the most formidable acts on the live circuit.



Now Blackbeard's Tea Party hit the road to bring their brand of gutsy folk-rock to a town near you! Traditional songs and folk tunes are given an edge by a heavy, bombastic rhythm section and their engaging, high-octane stage show is guaranteed to leave you breathless. In addition to all that, this show will serve as the band's hometown Christmas party gig! You can expect to see a few (cheesy) Christmassy covers thrown in, and don't be surprised if the band's love of ridiculous and slightly demeaning fancy dress makes an appearance!
