Venue spotlight: Le Fez

Are you sleeping on west London? Well, you shouldn’t be. There are so many great nights out to be had along this stretch of Thames. One of my personal favourites is Le Fez in Putney – I can guarantee you one thing, you won’t have a dull night out at Le Fez. In those heady pre-pandemic days, I lived in Fulham where my friends and I used to frequent Le Fez pretty regularly. Well, now that covid restrictions are long gone I may not be living out west anymore, but Le Fez is certainly back – and they’re bigger and better than ever.

Le Fez describe themselves as a “hidden gem” in south-west London. Split into two main areas – Le Club and Le Jardin – Le Fez can take you all the way from those 6pm pre-drinks with your pals, through to those 3am house-heavy beats. In Le Jardin, the walls are lined with flowers, gilded birdcages, and atmospheric lighting; all with the aim of making you feel as though you’ve been transported into a botanical haven that could rival the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. They have pints and spirit-mixers galore at Le Jardin! However, they’re mostly known for their intriguing range of cocktails and VIP drinks packages that are sure to start your night with a bang.

Le Fez describe Le Club as an area of “mystery and intrigue combined with French-inspired glamour”. With lush, decadent interiors, an incredible sound system, and even podium dancers and confetti cannons, Le Club is ready to entertain you until 4am every weekend and even some week days! On Thursday, the club is transformed into Paradiso – a tropical island paradise  in the heart of Putney; on Fridays there’s Disco Funk night – which always packs out the dancefloor; and on Saturdays, you’re welcome to join the gang for Le Secret Saturdays, a night of mystery, intrigue, and maybe even something a lil’ old school.

You can find Le Fez just off Putney High Street, on Upper Richmond Road. It’s close to the District Line as well as the train station, so it’s super easy to get to (as long as the District line is actually working, that is...) If you fancy a good old-fashioned club night, this is the place for you. Book your tickets and tables now.
