Venue spotlight: Wyld
From exclusive hotels such as Claridge’s and the Dorchester to fashionable shopping destinations such as New Bond Street and Savile Row, Mayfair is an area that has always had a bit of a reputation for luxury.
Wyld on Hertford Street is no exception to the rule. Situated on the site next to the Hilton Hotel near Green Park, with an exclusive W1 postcode, everything in Wyld just oozes class. With a sleek and sultry interior – yet one that offers eye-catching décor and a plethora of bold, earthy lights and colours – Wyld offers an intimate setting for both clubbers and VIP guests. Founded by the creators of Cirque Le Soir London, with the energy of Nick House who founded the original Whiskey Mist and Mahiki, Wyld London is an amazing place that will never cease to surprise you.
However, Wyld is offering luxury with a twist. The first sustainable nightclub in London, Wyld is dedicated to the natural world. An ecological alternative to clubs such as Cirque de Soir and Café de Paris, Wyld offers a unique feel from stepping through the entrance all the way to the dancefloor. There are decorative plants and shimmering silver glitter balls hanging from the ceiling, as well as a giant LED tree which fills the space and offers a constant reminder as to the reason Wyld exists – to cast light over the ecological issues that plague society… and to party, obviously.
The true centrepiece of this sublimely designed club is the imposing snake-shaped throne located towards the right of the entrance in its own area. There is a section of the club which is dedicated to a cocktail bar that offers a variety of uniquely themed drinks created by the world’s top mixologists. Wyld is open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday each week; it is accessible via table bookings, membership, or guestlist reservations. It’s a pretty fancy place, but it’s worth it for the incredible atmosphere and potential for celeb sightings.
