Upon our arrival we were greeted by a builder, a circular saw and a huge amount of dust, clearly the place was not yet built! The builder told us that the place would not be open until 9.30, (him and his team must have been efficient to finish an entire room in 2 hours) Understandably I was very annoyed as we had a confirmation for the correct time and date and we had paid 60 pounds for some kareoke! I asked if there was a Manager I could speak and was given a number (which when I phoned was ignored) Bear in mind that this had been booked in January, we visited in May....we had preplanned!) The builder then managed to get me the Manager, a particularly non-charming fellow named Max who repeatedly spoke to me as if I suffered with some mental deficiency. The conversation went a little like this: Me: We have a confirmation for 7 o'clock I am looking at it. Max: Well I don't have you booked until 9. Why are you even there? Me: No, listen. We have a confirmation for 7, from you! Your system obviously has made a mistake. Max: Well you. aren't. on. the. system. untli. 9 Me: Can you tell me why you are sounding annoyed at me, there are 20 of us standing on the street because of your mistake? Max: Well I don't appreciate being called when my system is right. and you shouldnt be there until 9. He also seem to be very offended that I had the audacity to call when it was booked under the name 'Adam', even though I was standing next to Adam as I called. He was hideously rude and no apology was offered. I probably would have accepted the situation if a simple sorry was offered but he couldn't bring himself to do it. He also had the cheek to text us asking if we would take the 9 o'clock slot. As if we would be seen dead in a place where the Manager offered little, to no customer service. The only good thing I can say is that at least when we forwarded him the confirmation, the money was tranferred back quickly. So I endured a 7 minute phonecall of abuse to be told exactly what we already knew. Max was wrong. The builder was far more pleasant and apologetic than he was so I can honestly say the only reason to visit would be to aquire yourself a rather personable builder but not for a good kareoke experience.
