Inside you will find a cosy atmosphere, bargain drinks and the newest DJs and unsigned live bands from local rock/indie acts through to blues, electronica and reggae. Carpe Diem is certainly the best place to discover the talent right on your doorstep!!

Last year saw Carpe Diem pick up the Best Bar None Radio Aire listeners choice award as voted for by the public of Leeds and its easy to see why. Our staff are extremely friendly and the service is sharp and combine that with its laid back atmosphere it all just works perfectly.

With live music being such a big part of Carpe Diem over the past 8 years which has seen the likes of Kaiser Chiefs and Pigeon Detectives grace its stage Carpe is always helping to nurture new talent. A host of top independent promoters put on nights within the venue and there certainly is something for everyone here from open mic nights through to bigger touring acts to its club nights. Carpe Diem also plays host to the Leeds Festival Fringe which runs for 2 weeks in August and is a pre cursor to Leeds Festival.

Don’t fear if noise is not your thing as the layout allows plenty of areas to sit away from it all. It is a great place to grab something to eat and watch the live sport on the big screens or play a game of pool on one of its 2 pool tables. Carpe also has a fabulous cocktail list and there’s plenty on there for all tastes all at great value for a city centre bar.
