I live very close by, and was initially a little too nervous to venture in, the covered up windows and "hula girl" posters made me worry it was a place of ill-repute! However, when I eventually stumbled in one night with a friend we had a most excellent time! Freed of much of the pretentiousness that so often pervades late-night London drinking establishments, SLP manages to not take itself too seriously and generally, the crowd seem to follow their lead. Always good fun, crowd-pleasing, easy-to-dance-to music, and FAR-too-easy-to-drink cocktails mean that I've never had a night in here that didn't end up with smiles all around. Cocktails and food are very much "just OK" - the 5 stars is really because it's an such an awful lot of fun and you can often get in with slightly larger groups than might be allowed elsewhere.
