As you might expect the surroundings are historic and also beautiful with a high wooden beamed ceiling. The seating is comfortable and there is usually a pleasant buzzy atmosphere. If you want a cocktail not on the menu the staff know their business and will usually accommodate you. Highly recommended and if you get the chance do a tour of the distillery downstairs..

Great place to eat and drink

Very disappointing......staff were disinterested and just seemed to be going through the motions. No interaction with us whatsoever.... For all their supposed expertise on gins they presented 2 double Plymouth gins with Mediterranean tonics in the most boring straight glasses!! For all their supposed expertise on gins they presented 2 double Plymouth gins with Mediterranean tonics in the most boring straight glasses!! And, to top it all, at 10pm on a Friday night, they were playing 60's Tamla Motown music.........No class, no style.....nice ceiling though....
